It's a frilled shark alright. It is interesting to note that although it's
a rather rare catch, quite a few have been taken by Irish vessels over the
last few months. To the best of my knowledge, there are some short notes in
preparation at the moment, which should appear in the literature in due
course.

also various recent Japanese-based papers on this species, discussing
feeding ecology, reproductive biology, etc.), you 'll find further
