The
photograph is so spectacular it would get my vote as 'Wildlife Photograph
of the Year' by a clear margin!

grypus, means, you'd better look at this article. Details of breeding
habits as well, and lots of stuff not published in popular literature before.
May 1997. BBC Wildlife magazine. Where sea-lochs flow by Sue
Scott. Full multi-page article with large colour photographs of the undersea
life of Loch Carron, north-west Scotland. Excellent colour photographs
of the sea bed and Dahlia Anemones, Urticina
felina, Wolf-fish (Catfish),
Anarhichas lupus. Two page picture
of the Sunstar, Crossaster papposus. No scientific names are included
which is a pity because the common names of many of the NE Atlantic species
varies. Worth buying the magazine at £2.50 for this article alone.

June 1997. CD-ROM Today magazine. The Anglia Multimedia CD-ROM 'Seashore
Life' reviewed in the Autumn/Winter 1996 Glaucus is included as a full
product with this magazine at a cost of £4.99. This represents a
fair price. The CD-ROM is designed for young children between 6-12 years.
CD-ROMS: Microsoft 'Oceans' is quite good with a large American influence,
but not entirely about the marine life of America. The Virgin One Small
Square series CD-ROM 'Seashore' features American seashore fauna. Microsoft
Encarta 97 has lots of hard information on marine life, and the latter
is the best buy for adults.

24 April 1997. (Thursday). Horizon: Documentary examining the true impact
of oil pollution on the environment. Features the Sea Empress disaster
in SW Wales, 1996. 9.00 pm. (50 minutes). Excellent documentary, especially
for viewers not familar with the issues. However, many aspects and concerns
were omitted. It would take more than 50 minutes to cover all aspects.
However, the documentary could possibly be improved with a summary of the
important concerns at the end of the programme.

almost exclusively species also found in British seas, including Capelin,
