Longhorn Moths

7 May 2006

The moth above is a Longhorn species. It was discovered on the Pixie Path. I have not positively identified this moth. A possible  contender is 147 Nemophora metallica. I have my doubts about this one. I am apt to go for 150 Adela reaumurella.

A small moth from the Slonk Hill Cutting south bank

The small moth species was a male 148 Nemophora degeerella. The long antennae of the male can be seen if you click on the central photograph. It was spotted on the south bank of the Slonk Hill Cutting.
