Shoal
of Capros aper

An
interesting observation in Sea
of the Hebrides (NW Scotland) this summer. During a copepod plankton
bloom we witnessed a large shoal of Boar
Fish (Capros
aper) in deep water. We have seen
a few individuals in the shallows over the years but nothing like this.
Next day with stronger winds we saw a smaller shoal in the harbour which
later disappeared.
