Mollusc Identification Books  (by Jan Light, Conchological Society)

There is no one magic volume but the most accessible in terms of user-friendliness for the non-specialist is a 2 volume work:

EUROPEAN SEASHELLS.  ed. Guido Poppe and Yoshihiro Goto.
Volume 1  (1991)  Polyplacophora, Caudofoveata, Solenogastra, Gastropoda
Volume 2  (1993)  Scaphopoda, Bivalvia, Cephalopoda

3 Linnean Synopses are also good:
MOLLUSCS; PROSOBRANCH AND PYRAMIDELLID GASTROPODS.
Synopses of the British Fauna (NS) No. 2.  A. Graham.  1998.

MOLLUSCS; CAUDOFOVEATA, SOLENOGASTRES, POLYPLACOPHORA AND SCAPHOPODA
Synopses of the British Fauna (NS) No. 7.  A.M. Jones and J. M. Baxter.
1987.

MOLLUSCS; BENTHIC OPISTHOBRANCHS.  Synopses of the British Fauna (NS)
No. 8.  T.E. Thompson.  1988.

Unfortunately there are no companion volumes in this series that deal
with BIVALVES and CEPHALOPODS.

For Bivalves, the only single treatment of this Class is
BRITISH MARINE BIVALVES by Norman Tebble 1966.
(Obviously out of print and not comprehensive in its illustrations but still very useful and crops up second-hand)

Additional works for Opisthobranchs:

A FIELD GUIDE TO THE NUDIBRANCHS OF THE BRITISH ISLES.
Bernard Picton and Christine Morrow published in 1994.  Authoritative and well illustrated.

BIOLOGY OF OPISTHOBRANCH MOLLUSCS published by The Ray Society
Volume 1, T.E. Thompson, 1976
Volume 2, T.E. Thompson & G.H. Brown, 1984

These are excellent works.  Again these are out of print but obtainable on the second-hand market.

Finally, there is a substantial section on MOLLUSCS in:
MARINE FAUNA OF THE BRITISH ISLES AND NORTH WEST EUROPE by P.J. Hayward
& J.S. Ryland, 1990.  This is the 2 volume hardback edition. There is a paperback edition of this with a reduced number of species.

Also BIOMAR for the nudibranchs.
