LOCAL ELECTION SHOCK  2000
 

Local Government
Adur District Local Authority.
No Overall Control.

Shock result as the Conservatives become the leading party for the first time in at least 21 years. 
Conservatives gain Southwick Green (2 seats), Southlands (Shoreham), Eastbrook (Southwick), Hillside (Southwick), Churchill (Lancing).

National Trend: massive swing towards the Conservatives.

    Hedgehogs mating amongst the docks and Bluebells in Corbyn Crescent. The thunderstorms forecast seem to have avoided Shoreham. Sunny and humid.
