Despite the numerous cat population, there were still a couple of Robins on the west side of Corbyn Crescent, Shoreham.

A healthy young Red Fox ran across the pavement on the west side of Corbyn Crescent before entering the front garden of number 8 after dusk.

7 September 2007
The black cat from downstairs chased a Common Frog which squealed when pawed. I helped the Frog to hide under the Privet hedge in my front garden.

A small pyralid moth fluttered around my small pond in my front garden in Corbyn Crecent, Shoreham. It was Pyrausta aurata, the Mint Moth.

11 August 2007
The Water Mint appeared by the duck-weeded covered small pond in my front garden in Corbyn Crecent. It probably occurred a few days earlier.

6 August 2007
A Red Admiral Butterfly was seen in Corbyn Crescent, Shoreham. And I was surprised to see the grey form of a Sparrowhawk flying over the rooftops to the area with trees in the back gardens of the houses in the central area, but the raptor did not settle and was seen immediately afterwards flying north.

4 August 2007
A male Common Blue Butterfly fluttered across the road outside my gate in Corbyn Crescent, Shoreham.

29 July 2007
A Lesser Black-backed Gull squawked from my chimney on the roof of my house in Corbyn Crecent, in residential Shoreham

27 July 2007
An adult Slow Worm was found dead with a squashed head in Corbyn Crescent.

19 July 2007
On a back garden Buddleia next to the twitten between Corbyn Crecent and Adelaide Square there were two Meadow Brown Butterflies, a Peacock Butterfly and a Red Admiral. Later, a Small White Butterfly fluttered into my front garden and a Large White flew over the road. In the early evening a Gatekeeper fluttered over vegetation in the twitten.

18 July 2007
In breezy Shoreham, I saw a Large White and a Comma Butterfly in the twitten between Corbyn Crecent and Adelaide Square.

7 July 2007
A Comma Butterfly fluttered around by Privet hedge in Corbyn Crescent, Shoreham.

22 June 2007
Two pairs of Herring Gulls have just been seen on the roof of my house in Corbyn Crecent, in residential Shoreham, two on the central chimney of out semi-detached block, and two about to have sex on the ridge, at 8:42 pm

18 June 2007
I was surprised by a male Meadow Brown Butterfly that settled in my small front garden in Corbyn Crecent, in residential Shoreham.

23 May 2007
A healthy young Red Fox ran across the road outside by front house running from the front garden of number 14 a minute before midnight.
A smaller worker Buff-tailed Bumblebee, Bombus terrestris, visited the Spotted Deadnettle introduced to my front garden especially to attract the bees, bumblebees and hoverflies.
A Slow Worm basked on the tarmac twitten between Corbyn Crecent and Adelaide Square, until it was quickly disturbed by the passage of people.

19 May 2007
In the shade of my north-facing garden (after the rain), just outside my front door (in my garden in residential Shoreham), one inkcap species Coprinus plicatilis appeared as it does in most years. Later a smaller brown mushroom was seen next to it which was the same species as it changed appearance over the next four days.
Adur Fungi 2007

A very small Light Brown Apple Moth Epiphyas postvittana fluttered amongst the grass. This species is really too common to be worth a mention.

14 April 2007
Three Red Mason Bees, Osmia rufa,  visited my garden in residential Shoreham.

10 April 2007
There was a lot of buzzing in my front garden in residential Shoreham, with my first female Spring (Hairy-footed) Flower Bee of the year that visited the flowering Rosemany and exceeded the buzzing of the queen Buff-tailed Bumblebee which buzzed around elsewhere.
