19 November 2010
On the cleared scrub area on the lowers slopes of Mill Hill a Peacock Butterfly basked on the dewy large leaves of a Great Mullein plant. Cleistogamic flowers of Sweet Violets and Dog Violets were scattered thinly over the lower slopes with a few petals of Hawkbits remaining.

Three Bearded Milkcaps, Lactarius pubescens, were again seen under the small Silver Birch trees on the verges of Mill Hill Road in north Shoreham.

11 November 2010
A Force 5 blew steadily through the daylight hours from SSW, regularly gusting to Gale Force 7 and this could be seen on the sea with large waves forming and whitecaps everywhere (indicative of a Force 6).
Met Office: Shoreham

3 November 2010
With a shortage of nectar flowers there were very few bees and no butterflies around on an overcast day. Three medium-sized Yellow-footed Solitary Bees, Lasioglossum xanthopum, visited the flowers of the Musk Thistles on a cleared patch on the lower slopes of Mill Hill above the path.
