Starling
on a chimney was the first bird of 2022,
followed almost immediately by a flying Herring
Gull and a House
Sparrow with a dipping flight between
the bushes, as I looked south out of my upstairs kitchen window. The temperature
was 12°C
at 10:00 am,
dry but humid and with hardly a breeze inland.
