I
spotted my first butterfly of the year, a Brimstone
by
the river near the disused Cement Works. The ample verges of the Downs
Link from Old Shoreham to Upper Beeding were colonised by thousands of
yellow flowers, notably Lesser Celandine,
Cowslips with
Primrose hybrids, and lesser numbers of
Dandelions
and Coltsfoot.
